Offering common sense solutions for judicial discipline
How to file a complaint of judicial misconduct.

"Woe unto you, lawyers!"

(Continued from the booklet "You be the Judge!")

I'm not a lawyer, but I'll make a legal disclaimer anyway: this booklet should not be construed as legal advice. Nor can I guarantee success. (Not confusing enough to be written by an attorney, huh?)

Actually, it's good I'm not a lawyer. You won't have to wonder what the meaning of "is" is, and you won't have to carefully parse everything I say.

And I've got an attitude - an attitude you won't find in most lawyers. While I'm commanded to show respect to whom respect is due, you'll find I'm borderline irreverent. You won't see that in most lawyers because lawyers - who are officers of the court - can be disciplined for intemperate comments made about a judge, even if those comments are made outside the courtroom. (Even in a booklet?) That, as lawyers say, has a chilling effect.

The warning to lawyers (above) is from the Bible. (Luke 11:52 in the King James Version.) To be fair, God didn't condemn all lawyers, although Jesus sure did lay into most of 'em. There was one good lawyer commended in Scripture, Zenas. But only one. Mostly, the lawyers tried to trick Jesus.

Not much has changed in 2000 years.
